Lori Walderich and her husband, Jeff, founded the Tulsa-based Top That Pizza. Their fast-service, build-your-own pizza concept has rapidly expanded to 10 stores across three states in just two years. The idea simmered in our minds for several years until one day in 2009, we turned to each other and decided, "Let's do this."
As this was an innovative concept with no direct competitors, we drew inspiration from other create-your-own restaurant models such as Chipotle, Qdoba, and Subway. We also recognized the need for a family-friendly environment, considering pizza is children's top favorite food. Our commitment to quality is unwavering, which is why we procure our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets.
